In the FSX demo I have Advanced Animations ticked, Autogen at normal (but
higher doesn't help) Scenery at max but I don't have any seagulls around the
lighthouse. Is there some other setting I need to do? Also, on the
microlight in VC I don't see any hands or arms. I would have thought that my
rig should be able to display these things (AMD Athlon64 3000+, 1GB PC3200
DDR RAM, Geforce 6600GT 128MB) so what gives folks?

Ian,
I can't seem to see any animal life either. I have all the scenery
sliders turned up, and I have been flying in the area where others have seen
birds, but I haven't seen any myself. Strange...

Yes I saw the strip when you first posted it boB and I tried in the B206

Yes. When my sliders were down to mid range the roofs even has letters
on them. ALL of them. I'll find a picture.

Hi RandyL,
There are no animals included in the Demo'.
http://blogs.msdn.com/tdragger/default.aspx
The seagulls come from a different part/function...

On second inspection that is exactly what is happening.
In your shot of the helicopter landing on the helipad, you can see an ILS
hold short line and a runway hold short line on a roof, as well as
"current" (black with yellow lettering) and "intersection" (yellow with
black lettering) taxiway lettering, and runway lettering (red with white)
on the other roofs.

I took screencaps showing the approach but that was some time ago so I
hope I have them. If not I'll try Frapps and record an approach. That
Cruise Ship helipad is quite large. Some of the oil rigs are really tight.
