Hey, all, it's me the newbie again!
Got the new games off of eBay, installed SoA and ToB. I really like
hitting TAB to see what can be clicked on, that's worth ToB right
there!
I've got most of the game down, I think. An actual manual would be
nice, don't think I'm gonna print out all 130 pages!
One thing seems to be missing from the manual: The Guard Button. It
seems most fighters have it.
So, can you guard other characters with this? Does it really help?
The only references to it I can find talk about guarding an area....

You can guard other NPC (you click on their avatar), and the effect is that your
PC will attack anybody who attacks the guarded NPC (if you use a bow, you can
shoot it even if you can't see/reach the target, EG as an help during pit
battles like Amalas). You can also guard an area: click on the center of the
area (and drag and drop to set how large an area you wish to guard), and your PC
will attack anybody who enters that area, while standing in the center of said area. >> Stay informed about: Missing from Manual? |

Cheese tactic - use a fighter with a missle weapon to guard another
character. Then send that character into another room, closing the
door behind him. He now has artillery support form the guarding
character no matter where he goes on the map. The guarding character
will fire through walls, doors, etc. >> Stay informed about: Missing from Manual? |
