Simple question regarding Mirror Entity:

Mirror Entity 2W
Creature - Shapeshifter LOR-R
Changeling (This card is every creature type at all times.)
{X}: Creatures you control become X/X and gain all creature types
until end of turn.

....can X be zero?

This would be potentially useful in a Barren Glory deck. Smile

Why yes. Yes it can. Say goodnight, Gracie...

Or in any deck which had a continuous-ability toughness booster out for your
creatures but not opponent's.

Gatherer rulings:

* 01/10/2007 Playing the ability with X = 0 will cause all
creatures you control to become 0/0 and be put into the
graveyard.
* 01/10/2007 Activating the ability for a second time in the same
turn will overwrite the first activation. For example, if you play
the ability with X = 4, then play it with X = 1, each of your
creatures will be 1/1.
* 01/10/2007 Mirror Entity's ability overwrites any previous
effects that set the power or toughness of any of your creatures
to specific numbers. Examples of this include Lignify's ability,
Maro's ability, and an earlier activation of Mirror Entity's
ability. It will also overwrite any previous effects from
resolved spells and abilities that changed the power or toughness
of any of your creatures. An example of this is Giant Growth. Any
such effects that apply after Mirror Entity's ability resolves
will work normally.
* 01/10/2007 Mirror Entity's ability doesn't overwrite changes to
the power or toughness of any of your creatures that come from
counters. It also doesn't overwrite static abilities that change
the power or toughness of any of your creatures. Examples of this
include Glorious Anthem and Verduran Enchantress.

Yes, yes it would.

<checks>

So it does. All right, combine it with Living Death then. Or an oldie,
Reins of Power...
