Hi all.
Since starting playing a little while ago ive got hooked and ive moved up
the levels reasonably quickly
(now level 27).
My main money maker has been mining, ive found great copper sites (im
alliance) enough tin veins
and managed to get 30G in the bank from killing/mining and picking up herbs
as i go...despite my weakness
for buying every useable 'blue' i see.
Trouble now is i need iron to keep my skill going up. Ive read all the
guides and 'duskwood' was recommended
for lowbies looking for iron. So, i spent most of yesterday mapping
duskwood, the only area i didnt explore fully was beggars haunt as it had
level ?? mobs in there.
However in hours of looking, killing ghouls, spiders, defias, nightblades,
skeletons etc etc (GREAT area atmosphere btw)
ive only found 2 veins!. One reachable (mountains centre of map) and one
unreachable (sw of duskwood map by the ogres ..my mini map claimed i was on
it but i couldnt find it).
Can anyone point me to any maps showing ores or give me a few tips where to
look?. Is there good iron actually in duskwood?. If its simply a matter of
me needing another 10 levels or so before i can get to iron then fair
enough.
Its just a touch fustrating after so long looking, as tin/copper is so easy
to get. Ive found a number of mining guides but none hint at ore locations
other than giving the area name.

Best place for iron is badlands, but you'll get eaten there at level 27.
Desolace isnt too bad either, but at 27 it will be too hard.

There is iron in duskwood, but very, very little. There's a spawn near the
town, and a few others near the ogre camp and a few other places in the
south part of the map. try arathi instead. *

Iron isn't plentiful until you get into some higher level zones.
Ashenvale and Thousand Needles have some, and there's a little on
Stonetalon Peak. Fear not though, the most difficult part of mining is
grinding to 155 so that you can mine iron. Once you're there, it's
just a matter of leveling up enough to get to the iron-rich areas. >> Stay informed about: Mining Guides?. |

What the name of the mine in grey when you were on it? If so, that means it
was underground...probably in the ogre cave which you may have been standing
over.
