It looks good, I'll be picking it up soon...

After I finish Enchanted Arms... and Dead Rising... and I pick up
Phantasy Star Universe... :^)

If you really like it there are 2 Xbox games that came before it: X-Men
Legends and X-Men Legends 2. Same style of game with the X-Characters.
Unfortunately they aren't backwards compatible so if you have a 360
then you're SOL.

Funny that you mention PSU. I want the game badly but I refuse to pay
monthly fees for it. Thus I will settle for MUA since in a way they are
similar: online coop action games. I wonder what sega is smoking to
charge a monthly fee for a 4 (or 6?) player online game...

Well, you don't have to play it online. It is supposed to have a robust
off-line mode. I had the Live Beta and found that the online mode was
OK. Massively multiplayer lobbies with 6 player dungeons. At least this
time the data is stored server side unlike, oh, every previous version
of PSO. Should cut down the hacking.

Meh..PSU offline is boring. Its all about the online coop experience.
Sega needs to take a note from NCSoft's incredibly successful Guild
Wars series. There is no reason to have monthly charge for a 6 player
online game all using broadband connections.

I have a couple original X-Boxes as well... and have those two X-Men games.

I like ULTIMATE ALLIANCE better than both of those.

My understanding is, if you have Live Gold, then PSU should be free for
online play. Charge is if you have silver.

When did this change?

It was never that way. Sega has been charging for a Hunter's License
(now Guardians License) since v. 2.0 on the Dreamcast. It doesn't
matter which version you have.

There was talk about how it was going to be free if you had a Gold
membership to Live.

Might have been talk among gamers, but Sega and Microsoft hadn't said
anything about it.

It would be nice though... and I'd fully support them doing it. I have
even heard of Silver accounts being rejected from buying the license
though as they "do not have multiplayer enabled."

Is anyone else having an issue with the 360 version? Mine will not go
higher then 480i, though all of the other games I have for the 360 will
go to 1080i today.

I commonly have my XB360 set for 1080i (as I do with this game). But
usually maintain 2 different composite output channels. One for most
games and one for those few that like to argue with my Samsung HD
received about what resolutions can and can't be supported.
