Madden 2006 runs too fast

Hi,

It's like I am playing a game designed for a 386 processor on a new
computer. The game is spazing out. EA support was once again useless.

Does anyone have an idea what I can do to get this game to play at
normal speeds? It was fine on my old PC but is unplayable on my new
one. Is it because of the dual-core processor that I have now?

System specs are:

AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+
WinXP Pro
1 Gig PC3200 DDR RAM
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 256MB Video Card

Madden 2006 is a relatively new release. How come EA didn't get this
game operating correctly on newer systems??
