| Madden 2005 Load Problem - Just bought a copy of Madden 2005 for my new PC (normally play this on my xbox but I was curious to see how it worked on my laptop). However the 2nd CD refuses to load.I've checked and can see no problems with the disk.. So, I stopped the

NHL '06 custom roster problems... - Using some custom rosters to play a single season of the Swedish Elite League in NHL '06. I've tried a number of different rosters, as well as playing an NHL season, and I get similar problems. Players disappear from my roster those not..

I'm confused on the character stats/abilities. I went in and adjusted all
of my defensive players to be 6ft 8in, 300lbs, and max speed, strenght,
accel, ... Next I adjusted the opposing teams offensive line to be 5ft
7in, 170lbs, and min speed, strenght, accel, ... and yet when I control
one of my big linemen, I can't get to the quaterback!
How is a 5ft 6in, 175lb lineman with 0 strenght-speed-accel stopping my
rush?
I can certainly see where changing the other teams running back to a slower
speed has an impact; but does a players height or weight have much impact
on knocking a runner down or pushing an oppossing player out of the way? >> Stay informed about: Madden 2005 question on character abilities |

Did you do this with custom teams you created? Or existing, real NFL

I made one custom FB, and then modified the default characters for the St.
Louis Rams.
I'm getting annoyed at the running game. My 6ft, 8inch, 300lb linemen will
block for 2 secs and then WHAM! The tiny defensive linemen pop free and
nail my custom FB.
I just got Madden 2006 on sale today ($20 USD). I sure hope they fixed

Well, I think you have to create a custom team and save it under a
different name, otherwise the roster specs will revert to default when
you exit the game. (I think). I created a custom team using the Vikings
as a template--altered a few of the players names and ratings and saved
the roster.

Hmmm, are you juking and using spin moves? It makes a big difference.

I saw that and am tempted, but I have 2003 and 2004. One thing that I
think 2006 fixes is the ability to import custom teams from previous
versions of the game. I can't import a team I created in 2003 into

I've saved the roster after modifying the RAMs and several other teams.
And every time I reboot, restart the game, and reload the roster, the
changes are there. I can see that the players are either taller/shorter
depending on the changes that I've made. Some are slower.

It's not my running back, its my 300lb linemen. They block for all of 2
secs (with Max stats), and then fall down and let the 5ft 6inch, 160lb
defensive guys thru.

Well I can run now. I made several changes to all the teams in 2006;
similar to what I did for 2005. Course I also adjusted the sliders to my
favor. But now it seems more playable. Might not be realistic, but now
my linemen don't fall down after 2 secs. There are now holes for me to run
for.

That's weird that you couldn't browse to another directory. I presume
the feature is there so you could transfer your team to another
computer, but exchanging rosters between Madden 2006 is essentially the
same action.

When I try to do that between 2003 and 2004 I get an error message,
"Unable to load roster."

Strange!
I ended up duplicating my team on the computer with 2003 on it. I was
able to transfer the artwork for my custom team "Bandits" so I could
recreate the same uniform and stadium I had in 2004 into the 2003

So I copied and pasted my 2005 roster into the 2006 dir. Started the game,
and there's the 2005 roster. Loaded this roster and was able to see all of
my players from 2005 that I created/edited.
