This topic may have been traversed before, in which case I apologise.

I'm a Mac man at heart. I use PCs only because my University uses
nothing else, and because this has been the heartland of flightsim
technology for so long.

The new dual core Intel Macs are jaw-droppingly fast. And they run MacOS
and Windoze side-by-side.

So, how well do FS9 and FSX run on these Macs?

Is the Windoze option adequate or is emulation necessary through MacOS?

What are the drawbacks to using a Mac to fly?

Cheers

You must mean Windows. Anyway The new dual and quad cores are also
jaw-dropping fast running Windows.

Not sure. I don't even know if FSX is written for the Mac OS. It's not a
big deal to get the machine required to run the package. Much like other
things in life you need the proper tools to do the job. Sometimes 2nd best
works but not often.

Thanks Chris

I have to upgrade my home computer soon and I can't bring myself to
shell out for another PC. A new Mac would be preferable, especially if
it will run my extensive flight sim collection
