I have a Ms Pac that comes up with the white grid. Its not in test
mode so any ideas?

Isn't there a input that when activated during the test mode causes the
grid pattern to stay up for monitor adjustments? I believe there is -
check the manual and then look for stuck inputs on the board - possibly
bad buffers.
