Hi,
I once "had" an SC-BattleNet-account, let's say named "xyz".
When I recently tried to logon to this account my workstation crashed.
Maybe that's by coincidence, maybe not.
However, since then I'm not able to logon to "xyz", nor can I create a
new account "xyz". Moreover "battle-net"-record of "xyz" is "0-0-0",
though it was let's say "300-140-10" before my workstaion crashed.
Probably, when creating "xyz" I didn't name an eMail, because demanding
a new password for "xyz" doesn't work either.
I don't really care for the records, but I somehow do for "xyz"
Can anyone tell me how I can get back "xyz"? Or even the record of
"xyz"?
Thanks in advance
&
best wishes
Michael

No.
What happened was that you took too long, so they deleted your account.
Someone came in behind you, and registered the account with the same name.
They own it now - your best bet would be to try to register it everyday, and
maybe they are not logging in, so they will lose it

He has already expressed great anguish in separating himself from his
"possession" If the record truly is 0-0-0 then they are not using the
account, and he might have a chance.

Hi Luc,
thanks a lot for your explanation. I think it might have happened that
way, though I'm not aware of having been "away" that long.
One more question: Can you tell me, where's the "deadline"? Want to say:
how long can I not logon without having my account deleted?
Moreover I appreciate your understanding of not being able to exist
without my favourite nickname...
Best wishes
Michael

Haha!
I believe it is 3 months, but check the sign up page when you register a new
user name to be sure. (As they may have changed it, even if I "used to" be
right.)
Please note it is customary to quote who you are replying to and to place
your reply below the text to which you are replying (you can use this
message as an example) - this helps with the sheer volume of threads
occuring in Usenet. (In this case, in a group which gets 2 messages a week
it might not be so pressing)
Take care and have fun! Keep in mind though, CZ might have a point; perhaps
finding a new username might be the most "logical" approach but we'll try to
remain understanding

It indeed is 3 months. Thanks for telling me. And for telling me where
to find the "actual" deadline, though it's identical. Might be helpful
for the future.

I usually do, because I'm very aware of its usefulness. Sorry for not
doing so in my former posting.

Of course, CZ is right and I already found a new username, though I
don't play that often (as you might tell by my expired "favourite"
account).
However, I'll keep on trying...
Best wishes
