Hi,
I installed Suse 9.3, xmame and kxmame. Everything went fine, no error
messages. When I start a game, no problem it works fine....BUT if I press
Escape to quit the game, to play the next one, the screen stays black for
some seconds and I`m back on the login-screen of KDE.
Hmmmm....very strange problem, so I tried Suse 10, xmame, kxmame. Same
problem....than I tried gxmame....same problem. I get no error message,
nothing.
Help!

I get the impression that you haven't tried running xmame directly from a
commandline to see if there are any error messages. Try running it that
way, not in full-screen mode so you can keep an eye on the terminal
window. And see what happens. >> Stay informed about: Xmame, Linux and a strange problem |

Do you use KDM or GDM? have you tried using other display manegers and see
if the problem persists? Out of curiosity why not install the current
version of SUSE?

Sounds like the X server is crashing to me. Check the X logs.

Yes...I thought that too. I uninstalled the xmame.x11 and installed the
