I played the game back around 1990, not the original one that looked
like an Atari pixel on the screen. It was some game where you had to
transform to a bunny into another dimension by doing something with a
mirror in order to get to some other areas that were impossible to get
there in the regular world. Can't remember much else about the game.
Something about gathering hearts and beating a some bosses.

What are the supposed connections?

I seen and heard people mentioning some connections.

Not clicking with me right now.

Refresh my memory please.

Thank you

Orion

Ok, here goes, this is from memory, and some are obvious.

Quest giver-
Linken

Quest items-
Raft (where you pick up the quest, in the original LoZ Link had a raft)
The items in the backpack: Sword, Compass, Map, Key (dungeon items from
Zelda)

Quest Rewards-
Sword of Mastery (Master Sword), Boomerang (Link's Boomerang)

I'm sure there's more...can't remember though. It's somewhere on
wikipedia Razz

There's also Mario $ Luigi references in Un'Goro...

Un'Goro itself is full of tons of Nintendo references. Link (Legend of
Zelda), Mario and Luigi, Dodogonda (I definitely am not getting that
right - but he's also a Legend of Zelda boss), Donkey Kong, and a few
others if you keep your eyes open.

Honestly, I think one of the coolest things about WoW is how there are
so many references to pop culture. There are lists out there. Here's
one that immediately comes to mind. The last names of the bankers in
Stormwind (from left to right) make, "Olivia Newton John."

There are *hundreds* of others. Smile Enjoy finding them.

The Gorons are a race from the Zelda universe too, and they usually end
their sentences with the word "goro".

I don't know the Zelda games, but here is a quote from wowinsider.com:

"The first quests are called "It's a Secret to Everybody"-- a phrase the
old man told Link (Zelda's main character) in the first game. Later quests
are called "It's Dangerous to Go Alone"-- another reference to the old
man's wisdom. Aquementas was a villian in the old game, and also makes a
"cameo" (if you can even call it that) in Azeroth. The other quest reward
Linken gives when you finally finish the chain (you'll eventually have to
defeat Blazerunner on Fire Plume Ridge in Un'goro after debuffing him with
a special item), is Linken's Sword of Mastery, which is very close to
Link's Master Sword."

Most fun reference in my opinion are the Gorillas in Un'Goro dropping
barrels Smile
