Hi all,

Some time ago I remember reading about ways to set the level of detail shown
in FS9 as the distance gets greater, i.e. the further away a mountain is,
the lower the level of detail.

Try as I may, I am unable to find that article again and cannot see what I
need to change in FS9. I find it a real pain seeing big squares on screen
where the detail is so different from the neighbouring square.

Sorry if this is a dumb question and many thanks for any help provided.

Manfred

You may be thinking of a display setting - fire up FS,
click on settings
click on display
put a check in box for "extended terrian textures"

It makes loading a bit longer, and depending on your system may cause an
occassional studder when it's upgrading, but it does make things prettier..
