Level Restart

Hi All.

I had to reformatt my HD and I was well into the game (DOOM III). Can any
one point me in the direction for instruction on how to enter at a level of
my choice? I'd hate to have to start the game all over again. Im pretty
sure it involves the command console, but I dont even know ho to activate
the console, let alone how to get to the level Im looking for..

activate the console with ` (or the ~ key) and enter:
map game/mapname
to play a level map (dont need the .map part); list of mapnames:
