I'll try the 1.06 demo they are promising. Provided they can get that
working. Given that the Paradox 1.06 patch doesn't work for anyone so
far I must say that I'm impressed by their high quality testing
procedures ... But I guess they'll just blame Paradox for that, just
like they blamed M$, NVidia, the OpenGL foundation and many others for
their non-stop FUBAR's in the past.

And here it is. Eddy The Blackcrow... you always look on the bad side of
something. And glass is half empty - especially when we speak about SES,
Battlefront.com, Paradox... and then I am hateboy...
Maybe you need to start examining yourself...

But there are also positive view like this:

" I've restarted the TF thunder campaign after beating it months ago, and
after 4 missions and I am stunned at how much fun it's been going through a
second time. The game started meeting my expectations of a worthy CMx1
sequel around 1.04/1.05, and with 1.06 it has exceeded them by a long
stretch. The new LOS system, along with the refinements to the tacAI, have
vastly improved the gameplay experience, and the game has now earned it's
place among my favorite titles of all time.

Thank you, Battlefront, for sticking it through for this long, and for once
again delivering like noone else can."

So as long as they clean off your face with pee after shitting in your
mouth for six months, you're okay with things?

Hmm... Hearts of Iron 1.0 was disaster and later when they patched it at
1.07 was classic and still is.

I would also like to see 1.0 version to any game to be superb... that's why
console gaming attracts me even more.

It's the matter of trust and patience I guess. I didn't bought this game but
I am glad that they didn't left it as it was.

Tried playing it with this setup, and I'm sad to say, it just doesn't work; I'm constnatly right clicking, expecting a menu to pop up like in, you
know.... CMBO, CMBB, and CMAK; and instead my unit is deselected.

And you can't reassign the SPACE to annything else; it's not in the hot keys.

Wow..I feel your pain. It's just a bridge too far to train one's
brain to hit a huge bar on the keyboard versus right-clicking. BFC,
those insidious bastards!

I think the point is as follows :

1) CM1 uses right-click for instant access to orders
2) CM2 doesn't use right-click for anything
3) Gamers want instant access, like the right-click in CM1 -
Battlefront calls them sissies
4) Battlefront caves in and ... puts the functionality in <space bar>
instead of the still free right-click

In programming terms the difference between programming a
functionality under the space bar or under the right mouse-click is
trivial in the extreme, so the only reason *not* to do it is spite.
It's simply petty behaviour so they wouldn't have to admit that their
gamers were right all along. So not bastards, but babies.

Actually, the RMB "deselects" a unit, so it does have a function. I
was being facetious when I called BFC bastards. I just wanted to point
out how inflexible people can be, and how silly it sounds to complain
about a feature that is put into a game, but it's not there in the way
THAT person wants it.

Again, damned if you do, damned if you don't...God forbid someone has
to actually adapt to a friggin' key-press versus a button click - it's
only one physical movement, for Pete's sake!

My grammar was correct. I was talking about that one person, unless
you are one of "Wargamer's" personalities...which would explain a lot.
I'm sorry you are also incapable of learning one new move with one
finger. I hope you can overcome this disability to enjoy a better
wargaming experience.
