I just installed OFP:Game of the year edition, and I am having a
tough time coming up with a good key map.

I have found that my usual key mappings for most games aren't
translating well into OFP. Any suggestions for a good key layout? I use
a left handed mouse, and right hand for direction.

Thanks for any help you can give....

You use the joystick for player movement? I only use the joystick for
aircraft....

I prefer the standard FPS (I know this game isn't really and FPS)
mappings of mouse/keyboard combo...

Do you have a joystick to map the keys to,
that's my preferred method.

Pretty much the default WASD profile as defaulted...

Do you really need to change it?

As a "leftie", use arrow keys?

I agree, the default settings are perfect!!

Use the card that came with the game, it displays the controls..keep it at
hand while playing and use it as reference. You will play like a pro after a
week, believe me.
