How could I create a LAN game using MAME Plus Plus? I started the
Kaillera Server at one PC's MAMEpp, and connect to server in other
MAMEpp. It only listed internet servers. There is no way to type an IP
to make a direct connection.

You goto menu > options > kaillera server there and you set LAN
Then you start Kaillera Server and then start kaillera netplay you type your
IP number on black box on third I know it weird then your both PC to start
Kaillera Netplay and A PC is server and type IP and B PC must use same IP
as A PC
You will see it really simple....
You will see hundreds server just ignore them....if you want play LAN |

OK before it was normal grey box and can read captions but now black box ? I
think something bug with XP. I mean before it was fine I talking about 5
years ago... etc etc now you know on third box you can input IP there
kaillera is my favourite. There also other emulator can work with

fix it... I have seen that in an old Visual Foxpro program.

There used to be a modified dll floating around that fixed the XP black box
problem.
If you are only playing with two players, a lot of people are moving to P2P
Kaillera now (http://kaillera.movsq.net/), which, as the name implies, is
serverless. The interface is all new and doesn't suffer from any of the

I hereby confirm that the problem is the visual theme.
Change the theme to Window$ Classic fixed it.
