I just bought a new PC - pretty nice - dual core, dual video cards,
the whole shooting match. When I tried to run KOTOR2 I ran into the
dreaded dual-core/NVidia slow down problem. Has anyone else run into
this? I found some suggestions on the net and tried the registry hack
to force the machine to use just one core while running KOTOR2 but it
didn't work.

Any suggestions out there?

Huh? What dreaded dual-core/nvidia slow-down problem?

Describe your rig (e.g. memsize), what driver revision you're using,
and the exact nature of the problem.

What slowdown are you talking about ?? Something completely specific
to KOTOR2 ? Please describe fully and your exact system specs
including listing versions of all drivers, motherboard, audio, video.

1 gig RAM
WinXP Prof
AMD Athalon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ (2000 mhz)
Dual NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT 256 meg
SB Audigy Sound Card

Apparently this is a problem with AMD dual core systems and NVIDIA
drivers. It affects QUAKE3, I believe as well as both SWKOTORs and
some others.
