I spent a lot of time playing the AI mod for BF2 when they
first released it. I thought they stopped development on it
after other BF type games came out, but I guess others took
over the development and that's what the extended is about.
BF2 is still one the best team based flag capture games of
its type. I will have to try the new version.
Mercenaries was good but I don't see it posted anymore.

To create a desktop Icon for AIX -->
- Copy and paste your bf2 shortcut.
- Rename the shorcut to AIX
- Right click on the shortcut -> select properties
- In the Target box, paste this in: +modPath mods/aix
It should look like this:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/aix

This next part will assign the correct icon to the shorcut ->
- While the properties dialogue for the shorcut is still open, click on
"Change icon"
- Then click browse
- Navigate to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\AIX\Shortcut
(Or wherever your default AIX install is)
- Select the "aix_icon1.ico" file and click OPEN
- Click Okay, then okay again and you should be good to go

Thanks I start right away, why not a automatic shortcut when they install
it?
The other mods usually do that, but if it works this way I am happy too.

Wow, I like the mod, when I shoot, I actualy kill an enemy, that is
a new eperience for me in BF2, you could shoot entire clips when they were
2 feet away and still nothing happened, and the maops are great, definately
a stayer this mod, on my machine.

Glad you enjoyed it!

The only problem I've found is that on multiplayer servers, whoever gets the
F16 wins! That ground attack is impossible to avoid nearly every time.

well even in soloplay, the balance is way to much towards the planes,
which probably also is in real life, but that aside ;o). Some maps keep
crashing
at startup, so a new version without the crash would be appreciated.
