Item Generation Issue: X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone out there had experience a problem with X-Men
Legends II. This has happened to me twice now (I started over when it
happened the first time). I will be playing, and all of a sudden I get
to a point where the game simply stops generating items. I will open a
weapons cache and nothing will come out. Also, once the game reaches
this point, I cannot drop items ANYWHERE. I can resume to a save point
where everything is fine, but as soon I continue past a certain point
something must overload the game cube memory and that's it....no more
items...ever...anywhere.

If anyone out there has experienced this, were you able to resolve the
problem? Is there something that can be done to get the game the clear
its memory of other boards and items? I have tried Xtracting around
but it just seems to make matters worse...
