I downloaded the patch file (the correct one, retail-to-1) but when i run
the patching program it says "Invalid Patch File"!!! Why? Why? Why?
I downloaded it twice and the same happened every time!
Please help me out here!!!!!

Re-install the game first, then apply the patch. That's what I had to
do after an OS re-install. Seems the patch needed the Registry entries
from the game.
