Hello,

I recently bought CIE for linux and am having a hell of a time
installing it. I am running opensuse 10.1 and the install fails saying
it can't find langpick. Now langpick is in the c3 directory and I can
run it so i'm not sure what the issue is. I also can't seem to find a
support forum or something for the linux version. Any help would be
great. Thanks

The company who produced the Creatures products died a while ago, so
technical support is a problem.

I'm afraid I don't have a copy of CIE handy myself (it's in another
country to myself at the moment), but the normal Docking Station for
Linux installer is just a shell script, so you might be able to look
inside the installer and work out why it doesn't work yourself.

Otherwise, you could try installing Docking Station for Linux, copying
the Creatures 3 content over manually (it does in
/usr/local/games/creatures3 or a similar place), and using it like that
(DS for Linux needs some minor modification to the launcher shell
script to work properly - a problem involving dirname - but hopefully
someone else'll be around to explain that bit).

If you can't work it out, do post back, I could try finding some people
who actually have the game handy to help Smile

You might want to try a
export PATH=$PATH:.
first. (Just guessing.)
