Inspiron 1150 Issue

Hi,
I got a Dell Inspiron 1150 notebook with P4 2.8 GHz and 640 MB
alongside a 82852/82855 GM/GE graphics controller. But I cannot run C&C
Generals with it... The specs seem to be compatible with the game.
Where is the source of the problem and how to solve?

Maybe a DirectX issue?

What exactly is the problem?
