Definitely enjoyed myself more this time, especially knowing which
tactics to use! I like the boat more than the buggy. The buggy's
Turbo can be problematic since you can't just tap it. Also, steering
the boat is easier since you can't hurl yourself off of cliffs or even
damage yourself as easily.
Made a lot of nice discoveries, especially being able to use the
energy balls in the Citadel much earlier. Remember when you come to
the corner where there's one tube filled with the balls on the other
side of the force field and the CP's come from two directions? I
realized I could use the balls as well as the Gravity Gun. That was
fun!
The final battle with the last Strider was much less painful as I hung
back and lured all the CP's to me and then sniped the Strider without
it even coming out for me. The first time through that area REALLY
stressed me! I also really appreciated the final battle as it wasn't
a horrendous jumping puzzle and it wasn't difficult to figure out what
to do.
I still miss the lack of story as I feel that it doesn't invest you as
much in your various missions. Here's hoping Freeman's next
"assignment" will provide more information.
I'm going to make another pass through on Normal sometime soon.
Has anyone played through on Hard and kept their sanity? I'd love to
hear some stories about that!
