I remember a WW2 game I was HEAVILY addicted to. It was a turn based
strategy game. The map was composed of either hexogonal or octoganal
"spaces". For the most part, it was a pretty basic WW2 game. For some
reason I remember the French "team" being purple. Have no idea what the
other colors were. I'm about 90% sure it was on Sega Saturn, but I hold a
10% possibility that it was some other system.

If anyone could identify this game, I'd be greatly appreciative. For some
reason, I've developed an itch to replay it.

Thanks.

Could be Iron Storm. I loved that game.

Iron Storm I think is a bit hard to come by these days (and expensive if
you find it)... but if you have access to an xbox (original xbox), you
can get Dai Senryaku VII. It's from the same series, but modern day
instead of WWII.

That looks sharp.

I need to buy an XBox now. Finally.

Found the original at amazon:

http://amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/102-7586071-0577726?initialSearch=1
&url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Iron+Storm+saturn&Go.x=12&Go.y=10
&Go=Go

although I'm fairly certain it's lurking somewhere in my attic, as well.
I may just need to go on a retro-gaming shopping-spree.

Thanks for those fantastic leads!
