Need a little help identifying an artillery piece.

Picked up a few unidentified 15mm guns as part of a group of figs.
These look similar to the German PaK 38 guns but they have a rather tall
shield on the left side of the gun. I have never seen anything quite
like this.

Is this some kind of Japanese gun?

Any help with this would be appreciated.

The shield has an upright extension on the right side (if behind the
gun) and is almost double the height of the other side of the shield.

Hi Quid. Could someone have glued the gun shields on backwards?

I dug out my Arco Factfile of Anti-Tank Guns (c.1974), and see nothing like
that. The shield of the German 37mm AT was higher on the left side (if
behind the gun) by about six inches, nothing so dramatic as half again
higher. The Russians and Japanese copied the German gun shield for their
licensed copies of the Rheinmetal-Borsig 37mm. The Russians kept the
six-inch step on the left of the the shield for their scaled-up 45mm version
of the gun, but theJapanese simplified the shield design for their 47mm
version.

Just a wild hair, but could that be a British 6 pounder or the
corresponding US 57mm? I seem to recall that it had a second piece
that fits that description, though it was mounted on the axle, separate
from the shield on the trunnion.
