Still trying to find something good. Anyone know of a mod that shows any
or all of these things next to the character/mob in the middle of the
screen:

1. shows player health
2. shows rage/energy/combo points
3. shows abilities you can use and when they are ready

#3 is negligible, but the first two, especially #2, would be very nice.

ArcHUD maybe. I tried it, but didn't like it much. *

For this I use ArcHUD2, which is an Ace2 addon that shows your health
and stuff as little green/red/blue curves around your character.

For this I have Scrolling Combat Text, which although it doesn't show
*all* of the abilities when they are ready, it does show some of the
more useful as messages - for example "execute" for warriors, which
flashes on the screen when you are able to do it.

It also shows all sorts of useful info and is very customisable.

I agree with both of these, I find a HUD and SCT to be absolutely priceless.
Only difference is I use IceHUD, also an Ace mod. I just like the look of
its curves better than the ArcHUD.

I agree, IceHUD looks much nicer, but I hate how it removes the
character portrait from the upper left. I found an option to put it
back, but it grays out my health and shows 1/1, and there's no character
picture, and it had the crossed swords like I was in combat. Sad

AceHud is okay too, but a little too wide.

Scratch that, I guess it was just a temporary problem. Now it's back and
normal. Woo! Wink

Ok new question: how do I enable the display of combo points? It seems
like i have it turned on, and i changed it to "graphical" rather than
floating number text, but I don't see anything on the screen to indicate
combo points.

Also, how do I use SCT to show when my animal form abilities are ready?
Or does it not work that way?

A Hud did that for you? Odd, the HUD shouldn't touch your character portrait
(aka unitframe). I also use ag_Unitframes mod, and that one by default makes
my unitframes extremely small and with no portrait. But once I found how to
configure it, I made it large enough to read again and re-added the
character portrait, which is not needed, but just something I'm used to
seeing.

I haven't actually used the show combo points option on IceHUD yet. I use
the scrolling combat text's option to display CP in floating text, that's
how I know what my CP's are at. My old HUD, drathil's, used to show the cp
dots along the target's health bar on the left, I guess I haven't noticed
IceHUD not doing that...

And what precisely do you mean by animal form abilities? Is this on a druid?
If so, then I'm afraid I can't help...haven't played a druid in ages and I
didn't use so many fancy mods back then Razz

Yeah, it removed both my portrait and the enemy portrait when you target
them, but there are options to turn that back on.

Yeah for now I'm using SCT to show my CPs, since IceHUD doesn't seem to
be working in graphical mode.

Yes, stuff like Claw, Rake, etc. I never get a notice that anything is
ready to use.
