I was just about to say, they didn't seem like the group that hands out 10s
to every "hyped" game that comes along. >> Stay informed about: IGN Review of GTA IV PERFECT 10! |

"Without question,Grand Theft Auto IV is the best game since Legend of
Zelda:Ocarina of Time."
Sounds good to me, IGN isn't one known for handing out 10's like candy.
I'll be at GameStop 12:am come the 29th ,since I don't hit the sack
until 3-5ish am. >> Stay informed about: IGN Review of GTA IV PERFECT 10! |

This review leaves me with a quandry. On the one hand, the PS3
version apparently has less pop-in and better anti-aliasing. But the
360 version is more "colorful" and has a custom soundtrack option
(people who claim they got the game early say the PS3 version lacks
the custom soundtrack option). This kind of sucks, as I was hoping
both versions would be the same, and would both have custom
soundtracks.
What to do, what to do..........pop-in is annoying, but a "muted"
color palette isn't what I want either. The big question is custom
soundtracks. Does anyone know for sure if the PS3 version lacks
custom soundtracks out of the box? >> Stay informed about: IGN Review of GTA IV PERFECT 10! |

You'd think the 360 version would have better AA since the graphics card can
handle that much better than the PS3's. >> Stay informed about: IGN Review of GTA IV PERFECT 10! |

Looks like devs are starting to use the PS3 the way it was designed to be
used. I was surprised to read that the AA was better on the PS3. Shocked
actually. >> Stay informed about: IGN Review of GTA IV PERFECT 10! |

**********************************************************
I would take graphical performance over custom soundtracks every time. I
don't have one song uploaded to my PS3 or 360. As far as the colors being
muted that is so far from the reality it's laughable. I have a friend that
is already playing the game on both systems and he said they are basically
identical. Maybe IGN does have RGB and super whites set. It wouldn't be the
first time. Besides you can always adjust colors but there are no
adjustments on my displays for frame rates, AA, load times or and pop up. >> Stay informed about: IGN Review of GTA IV PERFECT 10! |

Even if the devs are utilizing the Cell more, I don't think (though I could
be wrong), it helps with the AA since that is GPU driven, and it is fact
that the AA in the 360 is way above the PS3. Having said that, and
considering past recent experience with load times and texture popins due to
MS not forcing themselves to do away with a HDD-less 360, I am thinking the
PS3 version will look and play better. I am also thinking that the DLC won't
have any bearing on sales as both versions have MP (Iread the IGN review and
it reads like it is to die for). This will be a test to see how well the PSN
holds up to traffic, because we all know that game is going to sell like
crazy on the PS3. >> Stay informed about: IGN Review of GTA IV PERFECT 10! |

I agree with you here, graphical performance over music assorting anyday. I
can listen to music anytime, but I wouldn't be able control my
disappointment if the game looks and plays shitty. >> Stay informed about: IGN Review of GTA IV PERFECT 10! |

To me DLC is a complete non issue as well. I think the game is going to play
better on the PS3 as well and it will definitely look better. You are right
about PSN. It is really going to get tested. IMHO, the way XBL has been the
past year, I am more worried about how it will handle GTA IV online. I don't
know if I am going to play GTA IV online. Like MGSO it just doesn't interest
right now but I will give it a try for sure.
The game can't get here soon enough. I need something new to play. >> Stay informed about: IGN Review of GTA IV PERFECT 10! |

I never understood the need for uploading sound tracks. For me it's all
about the immersion of the gameplay, graphics and sound of the actual game
itself. The only time I ever used custom soundtracks was for racing games. >> Stay informed about: IGN Review of GTA IV PERFECT 10! |

Yea, I agree, and I am thinking of getting it. Being the MP lover you are,
this game may be to your liking, especially in the way IGN praised it,
especially if it has good weapons selection and a good stable MP mode (which
is may be wishful for XBL). I know one thing, I, like you, am not wanting to
play this in MP on XBL. With MS not pushing devs to get some real good games
to come out, I am more and more thinking of letting my XBL subsciption lapse
early next year. >> Stay informed about: IGN Review of GTA IV PERFECT 10! |
