Wow, I finally predicted the top three right!
And I'm glad to see Across The Stars rank highly. I hoped it would, but
suspected it wouldn't. In a different order, those were my top four games.

And it looks like Deadline Enchanter got the Golden Banana (which
would have been my guess).
Congratulations to all the authors!

Congratulations to the winners! It's good to see my own favourite on the
top.
BTW, is there some mention of "the Miss Congeniality" on the IFComp
pages? What is it?

The "Golden Banana of Discord" goes to the game with the highest standard
deviation (StdDev). In effect, that means it's the game that was most split
between "like it" and "hate it."
It's an actual stuffed object (cotton in banana-shaped fabric, I suppose)
that is passed from the prior "winner" to the new one. Although I don't
remember seeing that last year's winner had put it back up for donation.

The "Miss Congeniality" winners are the games that were voted for by
the other entrants to the IF Comp (who are not otherwise allowed to
vote); more specifically, entrants to the Comp are allowed to vote
for their top three games.

You mean the game that had most votes split by the extremes? Interesting
price. I have given some games *very* low ratings that others have given
quite high. Might have been influential.

Fun idea, but those prices that gets passed usually dissapear somewhere
is my experience.

Many thanks to the organizers for running this year's competition. I
was delighted that people got pleasure from my game and that it ended
up in third place in the competition. Thanks, too, to all the judges
and those who donated prizes.
This was my first entry in the IF Comp and I thoroughly enjoyed all
aspects of it.
Cheers

So, is the golden banana still circulating? If not, maybe someone
could make a new one.
