(OOC: I think we lost the others, so let's just keep rolling along and see
if anyone shows up)
Holly looked at the bar, then noticed something she'd totally zoned on.
"Clams. Damn, they've been cooking how long? Better check on them."
Holly walks over to the roilling pot, and using the tongs, removes one of
the steaming clams carefully. It cools for a moment, then she uses a knife
to pop the shell, and looks at the steaming flesh inside. She prods it with
the knife, then cuts a bit off, and pops it into her mouth.
"Ah, they're perfect. Almost overdone, though, so it's time to fish them
out. Got a bowl somewhere?" >> Stay informed about: IC: Wolves Glen Pub |

"Thank you," Kronos says smiling. "If you would like, I can do a
California roll for you. Crab and avacado?"

"I tend to work alone and....distanced...from most activities of that
type." Kronos pauses looking at the roll he is about to slice up.
"Escape routes are my speciality," he says in a voice almost too low to be
heard.

Kronos reaches under the bar and pulls out a large steel bowl and passes
it over. "Will this do?" he asks.

Kronos quickly makes two rolls and slices them up and slides them down the
bar to Gregory. "The one with the seaweed on the outside has grilled eel
in it. The one with rice on the outside has cooked crab in it. Hope you
enjoy them."

As Holly fished the clams out of the water, she said, "And A nice California
roll would be great."
She finished getting theclams out, then set the bowl on the bar.
"Best while they're still warm. Is there any sushi that uses clams in it?" >> Stay informed about: IC: Wolves Glen Pub |

Gregory closes his eyes for a second and nods slightly at this.
"I know the feeling. Sucks to be the one left standing at the end
sometimes, doesn't it?"

"Thanks a bunch. Good food is always welcome. Good company even more
so."
Gregory takes a bite of the one with the crab and raises an eyebrow.

here." >> Stay informed about: IC: Wolves Glen Pub |

Gregory thinks for a minute more about this before replying further.
"I understand the attraction of working behind the scenes or under a
false identity. I tried that myself, and it worked quite well so long
as nobody knew *you* were the one responsible for whatever had been
done - or even that anything *had* been done."
"But sooner or later someone or something out there will force you to
work openly. What do you do then? All the rules change, but if you
just stop whatever you were doing then even more people get hurt.
Where do you draw the line for self-interest versus universal
benefit?"
Gregroy chuckles, seemingly at an old memory.
"That look on everybody's face when they find out it was you the
whole time is kind of neat. Pain in the ass for what it does to your
plans, but still nice in it's own way." >> Stay informed about: IC: Wolves Glen Pub |
