He rolls his eyes in frustration. You may be protected against
anaylsis, he thinks, but you sure aren't protected against a
super-magnet if you piss me off....

Jack sighs. This is going to take someone from House Thig, or one of
the cyber-knights from Technocracy 2.0 to figure this one out, he
thinks.

Jack thinks for a moment, tugging at his lip. Then he says,
"Hybrid display of Umbra and Tellurian. Increase sim speed by a factor
of three, center on Daath comet.
"Highlight the following Earth Prime locations:
"Buenos Aires.
"Lima.
"New York City.
"Moscow.
"Tokyo.
"Bejing.
"Johannesburg.
"Abuja.
"Addis Abbaba.

"In the Umbra, highlight:
"Charon's Gate, Stygia.
"The Way of Iron, the Chasm.
"Lysander's Road, Hy-Brasil.
"The Grand Hall.
"Darkside Moonbase.
"Victoria Station in the Gernsback Continuum.
"Summer Grove Path.
"Mus.
"Doissetep.
Jack leans forward and says, "Go." >> Stay informed about: IC: Wolves Glen Pub |

Jack watches as the software proceeds with the simulation.. He is
silent as events play out, shaking his head at the destruction of
Doissetep, wincing as the comet's gravitational pull on the Earth
begins to disrupt the fragile sphere. He pays particular attention to
events in the Umbra (as best as they can be represented by the
computer).
As the sim winds down towards its inevitable, painful conclusion, Jack
waves a hand. "Enough, Babs--stop simulation."
The software freezes. Jack ponders for a moment, then turns to the
interface presence.
"Things proceeded...differently...in this record that they did at my
home," he says to it quietly. "Regardless, what's done is done, and I
am compelled to move forward. What do you expect me to do with this
information?"
He looks over at Gregory's sleeping form. "Or the shaman, for that
matter? His world, like mine, is gone. We can't go back and change
anything." >> Stay informed about: IC: Wolves Glen Pub |

"PRESENCE RESPONDS TO QUERY ABOUT DIFFERENCE IN EVENTS."
"PRESENCE STATES THAT ONE SAVEFILE IS A RECORDING OF EVENTS AS THEY
PROCEEDED ON THE WORLDLINE OF YOURSELF, WHILE THE OTHER IS A SIMILAR
RECORD OF EVENTS AS THEY PROCEEDED ON THE WORLDLINE OF THE ONE YOU
DESIGNATE AS 'SHAMAN'."
"PRESENCE FURTHER STATES THAT THERE MAY BE ERRORS DUE TO THE HURRIED
NATURE OF THE RECORDING'S COLLECTION AND THE REPEATED PSHYCHIC

"PRESENCE RESPONDS TO QUERY ABOUT PURPOSE OF THE RECORDING."

SURVIVABILITY OF EVENTS WITHIN THOSE WORLDLINES."
"WORKING..."
"PRESENCE NOTES EXTERNAL DISTURBANCE INDICATING IMPENDING ARRIVAL OF
UNKNOWN INDIVIDUAL - INITIATING SHUTDOWN OF SIMULATION FOR DATA

The simulation proceeds to turn itself off completely unless Jack
countermands. The holographic imagery vanishes rapidly, one image
after another until all that is left is the floating laptop.
The ghostform looks towards the door, then seems to look towards
Gregory's sleeping form for a moment. There is another sensation of a
door opening somewhere just beyond or behind what you can see, and
once again air rushes into the room as the presence vanishes seemingly
into the floor.
Somewhere about here the new arrival shows up. >> Stay informed about: IC: Wolves Glen Pub |

Gregory snaps out of contemplating of his little potted plant (I
believe that was where I left him) at this.
"Sushi? Isn't that, like, raw fish or something? Might be nice, but I
prefer mine cooked..."
He looks around at the quiet room and frowns. "Did I zone out again?
Why is it so quiet?"

the 'here and now'. This will slowly fade over the next couple
minutes.)) >> Stay informed about: IC: Wolves Glen Pub |

"Sure!" Kronos says with a smile. He quickly heads back into the kitchen
and returns with a tray fixings for sushi.
"With or without fish?" he asks.

"Actually," Kronos says as he start applying sticky rice to a sheet of
seaweed, "sushi means 'with rice.' Sashimi is the raw fish, and it can be
served with or without rice. I've got some nice grilled eel I can wrap up
for you if you would like."

"I'm not sure," Kronos says, not looking up from the food in front of him.
"I decided to hide when the forces started to roil up...discretion beting
the better part of valor and all..."

Kronos is finishing up applying the rice and fish and what looks to be
slivered carrots to the sheet of seaweed, and starts rolling it up.
"Actually," he says still not looking up from what he is doing,
"California rolls originally just included avacado in them, though later
it mainly referred to the rice being on the outside of the roll. Makes it
easier for people who aren't used to eating seaweed. Crab is also common
in Cali rolls." He has finshed rolling it up and quickly slices it into 8
pieces and places them on a plate. He slides it down the bar to Holly and
says, "Rice, toro, which is fatty tuna, and carrots. If you don't like
that, let me know what you do and I'll have that right up." He leans to
the side and asks the other person, "Did you want that eel, or would you
like a straight veggie roll? I've got some fresh cucumber and avacado I
can put in it."
