I went back to Nifflevar and found the 2 quests I didn't know where
there, and I went to Amber Clutch and got that 1 quest. Amber Clutch
struck me as odd. New Agamand quests sent me there to collect things
but never to kill the various mobs around the place. Finding this
quest filled in what I felt was a hole in the quests. The 2 quests at
Nifflevar brought me some PvP action... losing that is. Paladin 2
levels below me kept me stun locked long enough to do his damage and
kill me, never had a chance to retaliate. And the GY it sends you to
is the one at the base of Utgarde, thats a really long run back.
Never found him to repay the favor.
I did the Kamagua quests, then on to the Scalawag quests. I have to
say these were a lot of fun. Getting a private canoe ride over there
was a bonus, then of course the plane ride to and from the on quest
clear across the zone. I went onto the one ship, then took the quest
taking me down into the hold to collect gunpowder. There was a level
74 alliance shadow priest there already killing. She saw me, she left
me alone, I stood back and let her do her quest. When she was
finished, she went on her way, I started killing. I had just killed
my last mob when a level 73 alliance moonkin showed up, only he wasn't
as friendly. He attacked, I used my felhunter to silence him, feared
and dotted and watched him die. He had me down to 33% fairly quick,
but by the end I was full up on health again. I liked shooting the
cannon, and it was funny to see everyone running off the ship to get
the booty. Only downside is waiting to get back on the ship.
I soloed "Mad" Jonah, wasn't too difficult, didn't understand that I
had to kill the bear to finish the quest. But once that was done, the
only thing I had left was to get the staff of storm's fury. I went to
the ship it was located on and instantly met Abdul the Insane, a level
72 elite. Unfortunately I aggroed him, tried to fight him off but was
in a losing battle. Made a run for it, only he didn't relent. He
chased me most of the way back to Scalawag Point before I turned to
try and face him down. No luck, I died. Fear didn't work on him, so
I was screwed with that. Came back, managed to sneak past and got
below, and picked up the staff.
Turned everything in, and went back to Shield Hill to return the
artifacts, to which the mobs stated it was too late. The Kalu'ak
quest giver said this was bad and to report to the guy in Kamagua, who
gave me a choice of items, but it seems the quest chain ends there.
Ok, so some pissed off undead vikings say they aren't giving up and
thats it? Figured there would be more to it.
Also did the daily quest there for the first time. And after all that
hit 73. And all the killing I did gave me the 12x chilled meat I
ended up needing for the daily cooking quest. And of course, I got
the achievement for doing all those zone quests, which was my goal.
And got honored with Kalu'ak.
I'll be heading for Borean Tundra next. I think I need 130 quests for
that zone, and I am at around 67 quests (grinded quite a few just
trying to find the Nexus quests). And I already have 4 of the FPs
there, so it shouldn't be too hard to get around. >> Stay informed about: Howling Fjord Horde Quests |

Yes, I also greatly enjoyed these quests. Had some good laughs. I especially
like how you go to kill big rob for soap and then later ...

.... get a quest to bring the bulls to the cows because "someone" had
apparently killed big rob. That really cracked me up.

Hehe, I went to the boat, saw abdul, considered that I had killed my share
of same or even one level higher elites in the fjord so far and sicced the
pet on him. There was no chance to keeping it alive and kiting him didn't
work all that well either. I feigned death off the boat with 37 HP to spare.
Only then did I re-read the quest text that said "whatever you do, stay away
form Abdul". Must have missed that on my first reading

Is it possible that the cooking dailies are synced between servers? I don't
think this was the case with BC but I have now read four new posts of people
mentioning what daily cooking quest they had just done and each time it
matched the one I had just completed

Me too I finished my last quest in the fjord yesterday, dinged the 130
quest achievment maybe about 10 or 12 quests before I was done. Then flew to
Valiance Keep (I had been to the Tundra collecting flight paths some time
last week) and did the first few quests and am now ready to start in earnest
on the 130 tundra quests.
I also took out my death knight, whose herbalism I had levelled from 1 to
291 over the weekend and had him start levelling in HFP (thanks to my +10
herbing gloves he is good to go on Felweed). Just doing half a dozen quests
took me from 58.2 to 58.7. WoW. Certainly a change compared to the levelling
speed my hunter has in Northrend And my DK is virtually indestructible.
Killing the bonechewer orcs and collecting scrap parts I usually made sure I
was away from the wolf-mounted-patrol before pulling. With my DK I pulled
that patrol on purpose. Killed him easily but had been sloppy and pulled an
add and while fighting that add pulled three more. So at one point I was
fighting 5 orcs and the wolf. Just set my two diseases I know so far on one
orc and then used the ability that spreads the disease to nearby mobs, used
boiling blood (name?) and then used my runic power to zerg one mob after the
other, in between using the ability that heals myself for damage done
(name?). I ended the fight at 40% health, on most other chars I would have
needed to run for it, especially at level 58 (I only entered HFP at 60 with
all of my chars but my mage, who had also been 5 .
Cheers

Borean Tundra achievement isn't until 150 for Horde, anyone know what
the Alliance count is? I did both starting zones before moving on to
Dragonblight because the quests still reward the same XP at green, and
I wanted to experience the content before it was irrelevant to me.
Also HF was nice and quiet when I went there, the big rush of people
furiously levelling had moved on by then. (well, some people had
reached 80, but they're still the exception)

I had recently bought a shadow priest through HFP, so I was pretty
fresh with my knowledge of the quests and mob strength.
I brought my level 59 Unholy DK through there and felt damn near
unstoppable. I love the perma-ghoul pet (my first one was named
Toothslobber). Those wolf-mounted patrols used to be almost certain
death for me if I was already engaged in another fight.
My first death happened up by where all those Eyes of Kilrogg are.
The casters with the skeleton minions mobbed me badly. But since
I had the talent where you turn into a ghoul after you die, I still
managed to take most of them down.
Plus, Death Grip is the greatest. I can't help but say outloud,
'Get over here" when I pull with it. >> Stay informed about: Howling Fjord Horde Quests |

Hm, I am getting tempted into that unholy spec just to have a look at the
perma ghoul. But I really don't need another pet class, I already have a
warlock and hunter. *slaps wrist*

Yupp, I know what you mean.

Absolutely, especially great for casters, which tend to stay away.

When that ghoul goes leaping over to the mob totally rules. He
doesn't dis me like my Felguard, or bitch like the Voidwalker.

One problem with the pet. When you pull with Death Grip, the pet
goes leaping at the mob, which is now standing right next to you,
so the pet has to go running back to help you in attacking. >> Stay informed about: Howling Fjord Horde Quests |

Hahaha yeah that made me laugh as well, love it when actions have
consequences! Another good one is in Dragonblight you get a quest where
your future self is helping you protect something or other... then at
lvl 80 you get a quest to help your past self with the exact same thing
