I took a boat to the Thermador place, walked through the Horde
Terriroty all the way to Thousand Needles, then the fun began! I have a
29 Human Rogue, I would come across players in the 27-31 area, killed 4
out of 4, amazing when you sneak up stealthed behind them, do an
ambush, and you can get 3 or 4 hits off before they figure out what is
going on. I was really starting to wonder where the 60's were that
should be coming to their rescue. Big fun though, I logged out there so
I can come back later. anybody know where the closest griffon master
is? so I can secure a flight path?

The Alliance FP is in the NW corner of Thousand Needles at the border.
I just helped a friend with the Warlock quest for the Fel Hound. If you
follow the Eastern wall down from the elevators, I believe the book was
in the Northern most cave complex.

Oh! I almost forgot. If you're on a PvP server, be vary wary of horde.
While the centaurs aren't too bad to deal with - they're spaced nicely
and easy to pull, tho they cluster in up to 3s in the cave - beware of
farming horde. The cave doesn't have many minerals in it, but it does
contain poorly guarded iron and mithril which makes it a popular place
for high lvl horde to sweep thru on a mining run. We lucked out and met
a charming ??-lvl tauren hunter who actually guarded us while we
quested, but charming isn't quite the rule of thumb in Thousand Needles
- keep an eye over your back.

40+ hunter and warrior friends helped me with that, and we used Aspect of
the Pack so I could quickly get all the FP's down the west side of the
continent, from STP to Thousand Needles. (I had Astranaar.) We did get
ganked a couple times in Faralas. We avoided the main Horde traffic pattern
down the Great Lift. (This was on a Saturday on a PvP server, when once the
cartoons are over the Horde population shoots up.) >> Stay informed about: in Horde territory |

I went back in late in the evening last night, I was walking around
thousand needles, killing some centaurs, and it was very quiet. I got a
whisper from a fellow Alliance player asking if I had seen some horde.
It was a Corporal 31 Night Elf Rogue, we partied up, two Rogues, myself
who is 29, and the 31 guy. He helped me get two flight paths, one we
went south of TN to a great flat area, the kind of west to a city on
the other side of the hills, where Horde and Alliance were both hanging
out. we supplied up in that city, came back to Thousand needles and did
some ganking, he was teaching me the finer points of PVP using a Rogue,
to the expense of about a half dozen Horde in the lvl 30 area. We even
took two down( a shaman and a priest)at the top of a tall rock with
lots of rope bridges. Then we went north of Thousand needles and I got
another FP, I added him to my friend list, and went to bed after that
as it was 2AM. Ganking in Horde territory is fun, but it definatly
stagnates your leveling progress. All in all it was a good time, but I
did feel bad for some of the Horde players, as we were both stealthed,
and we snuck up and suprised the Horde guys, double teaming them they
didnt have a chance. But we didn't corpse camp, and we didn't gank any
greys. I still felt kinda bad though, even though it happens to me from
time to time.
I do have one question, higher level Horde seemed to be able to see us
when we were stealthed, ones at our level, couldn't see us, how high
above you do they have to be to see me?

just got back off, I was solo'ing in thousand needles, I saw a few
Horde, didn't kill anybody, and didn't die once. First I saw a 29
undead warrior, and a 28 undead priest, I saw them before they saw me,
so I stealthed, they let a big cat out of a cage and were having a time
killing it, so I unstealthed and helped, the three of us took the cat
down, then we all stared at each other for a sec, one of them waved, I
walked away and they went the other way. Then I found some named NPC's
(I think), there was a tent, with a BIG creature who looked like a
beast of burden, with a small goblin guy, to big guys, and a food
vendor. They were all around level 30 except for the food vendor who
was a ??, I pulled the first on, and right as he got to me, I saw a 34
Tauren Shaman over my shoulder, I knew I was in trouble, but I killed
the MOB/NPC, turned around and he was gone, so I pulled all but the ??
and killed them all. Later, I saw two other Horde, both 31, a Rogue and
a Shaman I stealthed and waited for them to pass, they killed all the
mobs and moved on without seeing me. Killed a bunch of new interesting
MOBS, and then logged out. Nice night >> Stay informed about: in Horde territory |

Due south of the flat area, actually (I presume you saw the
racetrack?). It's Gadgetzan, Tanaris; think "that city Luke, Obi-Wan
and the droids meet Han Solo for the first time in." Probably the
single most-popular area for players in their 40s and early 50s, in
large part due to Zul'Farrak, a 45-50 instance which contains what
I've called many times here the single most-fun quest in the game.

Sounds like you made it almost all the way into Freewind Post, the
major Horde village in the zone, which is an achievement.
> Then we went north of Thousand needles and I got another FP,
If you mean Thalanaar, you actually went just beyond the western edge
of the zone into Feralas. If you'd gone all the way west across the
zone you could've grabbed another flightpoint at Feathermoon
Stronghold, off the western edge of the continent, but as a 30ish
player you'd have run into plenty of ?? monsters.
> I added him to my friend list,
Definitely one of the joys of World of Warcraft for me; questing
around, running into a fellow player or two, forming a group,
successfully completing some goal chatting a bit along the way, then
adding the other to your friend list before bidding farewell. That's
not to say that I haven't run into a few jerks and idiots along the
way, but (unless my server, Llane, is very atypical) I've long since
come to the conclusion that those who ceaselessly gripe about how
everyone they meet in the game is a jerk or an idiot is likely
describing themselves more than anyone else.
