Help with Sims 2 on GBA SP

Hi all - I'm still stuck on the aliens arrived episode. I've looked up helps
on faq's but it didn't help. I have soaked all my aliens seen alfred and
bigfoot - literally done everything except for the final thing needed....see
Lord Mole ( again) The entrance is blocked and I need to see him to finish
the episode. I dug out of the salt mine before hand, but I am now outside
of the salt mine wanting to get back in, but sticks are across the entrance.
The only thing I can think of now is to buy the strength things from the
bloke on the boat in the desert, to build up my strength to shift the
sticks? I have also been to the UFO in the desert, all aliens are drenched
that were outside, but I can't get in the UFO at all - it just lets me walk
all over it.
Please help as I am now getting my hair off with it and thinking of
launching a new sim and totally avoiding that episode for a while!
