Help! Res E 2 save prob

I know it's not a hot topic, but I recently decide to replay Resident
Evil 2 Platinum (PC version) but no matter how far I get into the game,
or how many times I save on the first run through, when I try to load a
saved game, the appropriate number of saved games slots are in the menu,
but they are all blank, and every one results in a "load failed"
message. When I scroll to the blank spot, it shows the saved games name
at the bottom of the screen, but they just won't load. I've shut down
all anti-virus software, tried changing the save folder, and
re-installed the game twice and nothing works. Anyone out there got any
help for an old school gamer?

I don't recall ever having that problem myself and I have replayed RE2 quite
a number of times. You may have to reinstall the game. Check to see if it
shows as installed in control panel, and uninstall it if it is, (since your
saves are no good, watch the uninstall details, if it shows some files left,
be sure to delete them as well, Reinstall should cure the problem..Except
for a few problems with video card recognition with RE1 and RE2, I've had
little trouble with installs, saves, or runs. Try it out, and if you want
to be certain, copy your seve fileto a temp directory to presurve them
(should you want to).
