er..... yes?! If you've got an open door and a rifle what would stop
you? But to be fair it's not going happen that much if at all these
days, it's more of Vietnam era thing. But by the by as far as I know
there's no change from OFP, you won't be able to fire a rifle from a
vehicle while a passenger.

Only with helicopter door mounted guns or modded helos such as the BAS
ones. He's refering to the ability to fire hand held weapons, ie M16,
AK47s out of the door which you can't in standard OFP vehicles. >> Stay informed about: Helo Snipers |

He did say snipe. Sniping from a helicopter wouldn't be that precise.
I've tried photography from several helicopters, and it ain't easy....
Blasting away with an mg is a different thing.... >> Stay informed about: Helo Snipers |

I read a while back that this was something they have implemented in an
un-released addon for VBS1 so hopefully that will carry across to ArmA. >> Stay informed about: Helo Snipers |

There is a mission for the BAS MH-47E that has you firing a sniper rifle
off the back ramp. You've got to be very careful though as it's easy to
fall out of the helo due to the limitations of the mod in that if you
unstrap from your seat and the helo is moving you'll stay still and fall
out the back. >> Stay informed about: Helo Snipers |

Not exactly true. I have been on a number of real life training events
where we rode around on the side of a helo plugging away at steel targets on
the ground with SR-25's and M16 recce guns. Even with 4x scopes it wasnt
that hard. And we were on MH-6's and 60's. The birds werent hauling ass
down the range or anything, but were stationary. The only time you would
really want to shoot while the helo is moving would be to disable a vehicle,
ie vehicle interdiction (like that part in Blackhawk down where they shoot a
hole in the engine block of that land rover) >> Stay informed about: Helo Snipers |
