Would have been nice to see that video in HD. Yes, some of what little voice
acting that was exhibited was pretty bad. The environments looked pretty
sweet, but the character models and movement was mediocre, but again, it's
all hard to tell from an online video that isn't in HD. >> Stay informed about: Haze demo (pre)Review |

I thought the demo was solid. the voice acting I thoguht was actually well
done as Mantel troops are constantly jacked up with testosterone/nectar.
have none of you ever played football, been in a fraternity, or even watched
Top Gun? that's exactly what these mooks sound like. exactly the kinda
mooks that would want to work for Mantel. >> Stay informed about: Haze demo (pre)Review |

My take on the demo was it's just a run of the mill mediocre shooter to
possibly slightly above average (the demo was too short). It falls some
where in the middle of what is out today. It's no COD, Halo, Gears, Rainbow
Six or Ghost Recon, etc.. (etc in case I am missing a game or two) but it's
better than Prey, Quake 4, The Darkness, Turok, etc...
I still might pick it up but right now I am having too much freaking fun
with my new wheel / seat combo while playing GT5P online. A friend of mine
created a bunch of monsters when he invited me and a few friends over his
house to try out his wheel / seat combo. 6 of my friends now own the exact
combo and we are all playing GT5P online daily.
With GT5P, MGS4 and GRID soon to be released, I might take a pass on Haze.
Oh and I most likely will rent NG2 for the 360. Almost forgot about that
title. >> Stay informed about: Haze demo (pre)Review |

I already gave my 2 cents in an earlier post. It's not just the voice
acting. Even if it had good voice acting, you still wanna turn it off
anyway because it's just not that much fun, even when I was hosting
games and had others play with me. It's just bland and lame.
And again, as I said in my earlier post about this game, couldn't they
have come up with a different name than "nectar"???? WTF??? >> Stay informed about: Haze demo (pre)Review |

I guess that's one way of looking at it, but the fact that it comes across
(for now anyway) as typical macho unintelligent fighting banter, doesn't do
much to add to the game. . But again, it may have an appeal with that kind
of taste, it isn't for me if the whole of the game is like that. Remember in
the Halos, that kind of talk was exhibited (and mainly around Sargeant
Johnson) whenever the human soldiers were in the mix. The first Halo (and
some of the dialogue was a direct rip-off from Aliens) had quite a bit of
the talk you mention, so you may have point if the game has a great
storyline like Halo has. >> Stay informed about: Haze demo (pre)Review |

I played the GRID demo, and it was too loose driving for me. I mean you had
almost no room for any error. Too slow around the turns by even a hair, you
fall way behind, to fast by a hair, and you're in a spin, and falling way
way behind, but the graphics loook pretty damn good.. Maybe I lost the
patience with racing sims, because I haven't played anything great for
racing since the previous gen. I will wait and read here and in some forums
on how good MGS4 will be, because it has my attention still. >> Stay informed about: Haze demo (pre)Review |

Considering the reviews coming down, maybe the voice acting should be
taken as a sign to avoid the game completely.
Repeat after me... Resistance 2 (oh yes, and Socom).
