In connecting to Friends Of Mneral Town, once I connect, do I
see the action of this game on the tiny screen of the Game Boy Advance,
or on the television screen, or both?

I do'nt have a Game Boy Advance, do I need one to finish this
game?

If not, can I fully enjoy this game from beginning to end,
without ever connecting to Friends of Mineral Town? Or, will I feel
I've missed something?

Is there any way of getting all the records of music
throughout the game without connecting to Friends of Mineral Town?
Perhaps even a cheat, to get them all?

Game Boy Advance, as well as the cables used to connect, I've
found, are difficult to find, nowadays. So, I will probably never be
able to connect to Friends of Mineral Town. Sad

I wish I knew how many Harvest Moon fans are in this
newsgroup, perhaps very few. Wish there we're more!

I recently became a fan of Harvest Moon games, one, in
particular. "A Wonderful Life". But, I'm sure that now, I'd like them
all. But now, some of them are no longer available.
Well, they may be avaiable on ebay, but, I do not know the
slightest thing about ordering anything on ebay. I'd sure love to own
Harvest Moon 64, and any Harvest Moon games that are on Super Nintendo.
And, Harvest Moon: Save The Homeland, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life
Special Edition.

I sure wish I bought these games, and started playing these
games way back when they we're first on store shelves.

Anybody have a time machine, so I could go back in time about
ten or fifteen years, so I could buy one of each of these games off the
store shelves.

I'm sure that some of you have wished you'd bought a certain
game that you saw several years ago, but now it's not available, and
you'll never have it, and you'll never play it. And you could kick
yourself now for not buying it back then.

I still remember when Nintendo 64 was the newest videogame
console out there. But now, it's passe'.

Friends of Mineral Town is it's own game. In that game you have a
different farm in a different town called "Mineral Town". After the
connecting the two games, you continue playing each game on it's own
system.

Nope.

You can finish the game without feeling like you missed anything.

Well, getting the hardware shouldn't be that hard, although time is
running out. I suspect that by the end of the year few stores will
carry the Game Boy Advance SP any more. The hard part would be finding a
copy of Friends of Mineral Town, though I saw a copy in a Walmart bargin
bin a month ago.

There aren't many fans of any games on this newsgroup. Mostly it's just
people who hate certain consoles. Smile

You're not missing that much. The original Harvest Moon for the Super
Nintendo, Harvest Moon 64 and Back to Nature are all fairly similar
in terms of game play and characters. Back to Nature and Friends of
Mineral Town are almost identical. A Wonderful Life Special Edition
only adds a couple new things to A Wonderful Life. Save the Homeland
was a fair bit different, but not terribly well received by fans.

On the other hand, now is good time to be Harvest Moon fan. You should
still be able to find Harvest Moon: Magical Melody, it returns to a more
"cute" art style while making a number of interesting changes in gameplay.
You also have Rune Factory and Innocent Life for the Nindendo DS and the
Sony PSP respectively. These two new handheld games take the franchise
in new directions.

Well, if you really want to find out what the older games were like you
could get a Sony PSP and the recently released Harvest Moon: Boy & Girl.
It's an unenhanced port of Back to Nature. Harvest Moon DS is another
option, while it's set in Forget-Me-Not Valley like A Wonderful Life,
its game play is supposed to be more like the older Harvest Moons.

Thanks, Ross.

I see, so if I played Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town,
with the Game Boy Advance connection I would be play- ing it on the Game
Boy Advance, and seeing the action on the tiny screen of the Game Boy
Advance, but not on my t.v. screen.

Well, I wouldn't want to connect to Friends of Mineral Town,
then, as I've never ever wanted to play a video game on a tiny screen,
only on a big screen, a t.v. screen.
Actually, I play all my games on my t.v. screen, through my
surround sound system. Playing on a big screen, and with surround sound
the game seems more real to me, and I don't have to strain my eyes
looking at a tiny screen.

Which is why I'd never want to buy a DS, or PSP. I'm thinking
about possibly buying a Wii at some point, because they're coming out
with a new Harvest Moon game on the Wii system. I read a news story that
Natsume is bringing out the big guns on this one, so it ought to be
really good! I saw some screenshots of this new game, and I like what I
saw.

After I started playing Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, and
found out that I loved this game, I picked up Magical Melody. I bought
it at a Toys R Us, as I bought Wonderful Life there, as well.

It's not too bad, the since the screen on a GBA, DS or PSP is much closer
to your eyes you don't normally need to strain to see it. If you're
far sighted or have bi-focals it might be a problem though.

The new slim PSP has TV-out so you can connect it to your TV. Nintendo
also made an add-on for the GameCube called the Game Boy Advance Player
that lets you play GBA games on your TV, but it's no longer available.
