So... Arena and Daggerfall - I still think these are the two best games in the series. Granted, it helps that I have yet to play Morrowind or Oblivion because I've never bothered getting the hardware to run them. Just recently, I played both Arena and again... Ahh, the..

Oblivion Grumble - Hey do they believe everyone can afford to upgrade systems? Oblivion is for a Pentium 4 and on DVD only, I don't rate that high and I don't own a dvd player for the computer; have a stand alone only and couldn't play it on this anyway and I would have to

I've been playing Daggerfall a lot lately and noticed something
strange. Two characters now have gotten the quest from townsfolk to
clear out their property of harpies. I have to kill the harpy with
the dyed gryphon feather in order to get paid. So I find the harpy
with the grypon feather, find my way out of the dungeon, then get the
message to rescue the member of the Fighter's Guild who went in before
me. So I go back in and find the poor soul in the same room that I
originally killed the harpy with the gryphon feather and lead him out.
What is weird is that there is another harpy in the room with the
fellow and if I do not kill *that* harpy and take it's feather, the
quest giver will not acknowledge that I have finished the quest. In
other words, I need *two* gryphon feathers to finish the quest. Is
this normal?

Hi - new to posting to this site.
I've been playing Daggerfall alot also lately.

I have never had the quest acknowleged, no matter how many feathers I've
brought. I guess it's "normal" for Daggerfall.

Dou you need two feathers or only the second?

That's an interesting question. I have been assuming I needed both,
because both feathers disappeared from my inventory. Next time I get
this quest, I'll try to remember to remove the first feather from my
inventory before I speak to the quest giver and see what happens.
