After yesterdays Vista updates, Steam gets to 26% update and says that two or
more copies are running every time I try to start Steam. Is this a Microsoft
or Steam issue? How can it be resolved?? Please help...

What did Steam tech support say about the problem?

Rather than hijacking someone else's thread, create a new thread of your
own.
Steam tech support would be who I would get in touch with.
