xfer to new computer - I am over half way through HL2 and got a new comp. Which files can I copy over to the new one to continue playing so I don't have to start over? Thanks
Half-Life 2 Deathmatch and firewall - I use Zonealarm as my firewall. I can play HALF-LIFE 2 with it turned on. But the other night, for the first time, I tried running the dedicated server over the Internet, via Steam, so that some buddies could join in on a game. I could see the server
upgrading graphics card - Currently have an ati 9000 radeon. Have now bought a 9600 pro. Do i have to uninstall the original card first?

Hi everyone. I just got HL2 today and it didn't come with a manual, I
guess because it's the re-released DVD version? Anyway, is there an
online link to a manual? I like reading them so I know what's going on.
For example, I don't have a clue what the suit does or what it means to
"recharge" it with power.

I'm not sure of a link to a manual. Did you buy a CD/DVD version?
Maybe it is on there?
the suit is the HEV suit and it protects you from certain things...you
don't actually need to know anything else about it. You have your own
"health" and ontop of that you can have suit health with just acts the
same as body armour in anyother FPS. In HL2 you find recharge points

I checked the installation folders but no electronic manual either.

Yeah, like most FPS games its intuitive so manuals are not normally
needed. Only official one i know of is a quick reference card which is
useful for the basic controls etc...

I think I know where you are coming from with this question. Obviously
you have started at the start and there you have no suit and as far as
I know you have no health to worry about either (at least inthe first
few mins). The start is just the introduction into the story and the
physics model etc....
