I'll admit that I know next to nothing about vote decks (though I'm
working on some, and have been trying to play more politics lately).
In any case, I might have some ideas, or at least criticism that will
help.

This crypt looks a bit weird. 1 each of Eze and Iniko stands out as
especially odd since both of them make very good stars for a deck built
around them, but are rather pricy for a run of the mill Guruhi that
does not use their out of clan disciplines or exploit their abilities
particularly well.

My overall impression of the Guruhi is that as a clan overall they just
aren't very good; their discipline spread is not very complementary,
and they are very expensive on average. However, several of their
individual vampires are astounding, and they look like they could rock
out in some interesting decks built around them.

> Action [14]
> 1x Arson

With no stealth and no offensive combat, I can't imagine this ever
working. If you have problems with locations, Disputed Territory is
you best option. This is a vote deck after all, at least in theory.

> 2x Enchant Kindred

These are impractical as bleeds in a deck like this, and their PRE
version is outclassed by Founders.

> 5x Founders of the Ebony Kingdom

Very good card. Worth using.

> 5x Mozambique Allure

Just remove them. A Kindred Intelligence effect in a deck with such
expensive vampires makes no sense.

> 1x No Secrets From the Magaji

You need way more infrastructure than you currently have to make this
card pay off. I'd ditch it.

> Action Modifier [11]
> 3x Awe
> 3x Bewitching Oration
> 5x Voter Captivation

Looks like some pretty standard picks, though I'm not sure about the
numbers. Players more experienced with vote decks would have better
advice. Strange Day is an obvious pick if you can get one. How about
Iron Glare?

> Action Modifier / Reaction [2]
> 2x Guruhi Kholo

Worth doubling I suppose.

> Combat [12]
> 12x Majesty

Some kind of hitback might be worthwhile. ANI combat rules. However,
for the amount of deck space you're willing to dedicate to combat in a
deck like this, all Majesty is probably best. As I mention later, I
would radically alter this list to include way more combat.

> Equipment [1]
> 1x Reliquary: Biague

Not worth it. Kduva's Mask on the other hand...

> 1x Rack, The

The Presence masters look unnecessary, as all but 2 of your vampires
already have PRE. It looks like Heidelburg is meant to work with your
equipment/retainers module that looks extremely tenuous already. The
Rack is going to be really hard for you to defend. The rest looks
pretty good.

> Political Action [19]
> 5x Banishment
> 3x Consanguineous Boon
> 8x Kine Resources Contested
> 2x Overseer
> 1x Year of Fortune

Eldest Command Undeath should go in if you have any, if only just to
try it out. The rest looks pretty decent.

> Reaction [5]
> 5x Terra Incognita

Good idea.

> Retainer [9]
> 3x Owl Companion
> 3x Raptor
> 3x Raven Spy

9 retainers is a lot, especially without Pack Alpha or any means to
untap after successful actions. Also, with your expensive vampires and
fragile combat defense, blocking seems like a pretty dumb thing to do.
I would probably ditch the whole package.

Overall, it looks like you have a reasonably solid core to a PRE vote
deck, with a whole lot of random seeming junk piled on top. The number
one problem is that there are way too many actions. Between PAs,
Equipment, Retainers, and Action cards I count a total of 43. That's
insane. Even a dedicated stealth/Freak Drive deck would never succeed
in pulling off that many actions. You also don't have any Potence
cards in the deck, which makes me wonder why choose the Guruhi over the
Ahrimanes who also have ANI PRE.

If I were to take this deck and try to improve it one fell swoop, I
would probably strip out every single card that isn't either helping
you vote or influence out vampires and replace all of them with ANI POT
combat and a sprinkling of rush actions. With such expensive minions,
no amount of Majesty untap is likely to push your actions through, and
dedicated combat is likely to totally hose you anyhow. So you might as
well go for an all offense, no defense combat brutality approach to
punish blockers and offensive rushers, and even help vote lock along by
occasionally torporizing enemy voters. I don't know if this approach
would work, but it's what I would probably do if I built a Guruhi deck.

Hey Cthulukitty (like the name, flows better than Nyarlethotepkitty!!)

You're quite right about the deck i imagine, I'm used to making decks
that either vote or beat, so this is a strange concept to me to begin
with (it was a challange issued to me by one of my mates, make a
working guruhi combat/ vote deck) I'm not fussed at all about the deck,
pehaps i should have posted a querry for deck ideas instead! Anyway,
thanks for the comments, I'll re-post the deck as it comes along over
the next couple of days so we can all see how it evolves. Thanks Again

In case your interested. Here is my toolboxy Guruhi deck that has
worked quite well to me so far. To my experiences, Guruhi are very
good. But you have to use that potence too, as pot/pre works together
quite well. While the Guruhi are large, they have enough bloat to be
able to actually get their big guys out. I have been able to bring
almost the whole crypt of this deck out during games. You really need
Eze out first, after that, he can bring out everyone else. Smile

I had a Guruhi Bruise/Vote deck some time ago, using off-clan Abombwe
to block denial (DC:Throat, Pred. Transformation and Pred. Mastery) and
additional combat prowess. Ugadja has ABO, Maskini has abo and Nkule
Galadima has ABO, and ani pre to go with the Guruhi. And of course as
Abombwe is a trifle Master, I used a few to grow Eze to 12 capacity
(Eldes Command Undeath against IC members anyone Wink). I do not have the
decklist anymore, but it was something like this:

2 Eze
3-4 Ugadja
1 Iniko
1 Nkule
1 Sobaiyfa
1 Maskini
maybe tupdogs to fill crypt or possibly even one Uchenna and Tsunda,
them being Magaji that come out quickly via FoEK, I tested and modified
the deck a few times

Masters
2-3 ABO skillcards
Minion Taps,
Mbare Market, HG, DI/Sudden and stuff

Actions
Founders of Ebony Kingdom,
No Secrets

Action mods
The said ABO cards,
BO's, Iron Glares and Voter Caps,
a few Freak Drives

Combat
Crows, Bats, DC: Back and heavy POT strikes -the usual combat stealth
modifiers which of course depend what the metagame is,
a few Majesties

Political actions
quite a few, go figure Smile

Reactions
light ABO/ANI intercept/untap,
Terra Incognita

Why do you play with Fish and Urenna Bunu? They both have only inferior
presence, making them less usefull then a second copy of Lumumba and
Batsheva, for example.
You might also consider Ubende, being a 7-cap magaji with PRE.

The problem with Founders is that it can easily bite you later in the
game since it is harder to use for pool gain - you can play only one on
each vampire in your uncontrolled region. You then need to influence
out a new one and hope it is small enough. This way you have to use
your transfers for both influencing vampires and pulling blood back to
your pool, which is quite slow.
