This morning I decided to accept Don's invitation to Nina to go out on a
group outing just to see what would happen. Lo and behold Don turns up with
every lady's he's managed to woohoo thus far (it's a group of 7 including
Nina!). So to get rid of the competition Nina plants one on the lips for him
and the slap-fest ensues.

Then I go to get them seated at the restaurant. The podium option is to
"give up seat". Huh?!? So I let her go and settle in for a long session of
watching them drink glasses of water while studiously ignoring the menus.
Which is when the food arrived! Another Huh?!? Never had this happen before.
The active sim has always had to order for everyone, it didn't happen
autonomously.

The only thing I can think of is that Don woohooed the greeter (took a lot
of convincing, as even the Don Juan of the neighbourhood didn't want to
woohoo an elder) so perhaps because Don was part of the group they got
preferential treatment and got seated and served immediately? Or is this a
feature of ACR?

Anyone else ever experience this?

Sounds like a bug to me but then I don't have ACR so wouldn't know.

Best wishes

I might just have to try organising another group. Next time I play a new
lot I'll get them to accept the invitation and get them to go to a
restaurant, see what happens.

Today I got another invitation to go to a community lot and decided to
accept and go to the same restaurant as I had gone to with Don and Nina. The
sim did not get seated automatically and had to order manually as well. So
far so good.

Managed to make best friends with the greeter while at the restaurant. When
the group was leaving I got the message that 30% of the meal was comped
"because you're such a good friend".

I'm not quite sure what happened with Don's group in the end (the 21 month
old decided I had had enough simming and pressed the power button - there
was much wailing and gnashing of teeth on my part, but you can't blame a kid
for being a kid and touching the "blinky light"...) but I suspect that the
automatic seating and ordering was because he had woohooed the greeter, so
they were best friends and she probably had a crush on him (can't remember
if pink hearts flew for her or not when Don was working up to the big event
in the hot tub).
