Hi all,

I have a Lvl 60 Dwarf Hunter, and have decided to drop Enchanting, and
put mining in its place.
So I will be a pure mining/skinning.

I started the mining grind last night and got to 100.

My locations for this were.

Copper - Eleweyn Forest. (Kobold Caves)
Tin - Duskwood. (Just kept running up and down the southern mountain
ranges)

Im going to keep doing Duskwood until I reach the ability to mine Iron.

Can anyone give any advice one the best places to mine each metal as it
becomes available?

I am fully BM specced and so can pretty much just set my pet on
aggressive until I hit the lvl50+ zones.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I'm concerned:
Copper = Mulgore
Copper/Tin = Silverpine/Hillsbrad
Tin/Iron = Thousand Needles
Iron/mithril = Badlands, keep badlanding until mithril is grey.
Thorium = all high level zones.

Arathi Highlands is pretty good for Iron as well.

I'd suggest Arathi Highlands for Iron, make one round all along the
mountain edge, enter some caves and you have 30-40 irons in half an
hour.

Tanaris is best for Mithril. Again, run along the mountain edges for
many mithril veins and only few other veins (really few) like true
silver or lesser thorium vein.

Greater thorium veins you might find in all high level areas,
but they occur moderately often, where no elites are around.

Best regards,
Bart

Add in the Wetlands too, there's a lot of iron there, and for that 175
plateau, there's a cave in the southeast that has ores you can mine for
a quest, worthless as loot but you level up on it.

The Badlands also have iron, and in the hills where the whelps are,
mithril.

The Hinterlands are after this, it's a mix of mithril, gold, truesilver,
and I think one or two small thoriums.

For small thorium, head to Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes as well.
Dark Iron ore can be found in Searing Gorge too, I generally find it in
the eastern part, near the lip of the pit, and inside the Slag Pit. I'm
sending mine to our guild bank, as I gave up on Thorium Brotherhood rep
as the most insane rep to grind ever.

Winterspring, Un'Goro and Sithilus for the greater Thorium, and the
caves for oozing thorium. These zones are where you'll find arcane
crystals the most.

I sometimes regret taking mining, even though it only took me 3 days to
level to 300. I made more money consistently with alchemy/herbs, to be
honest. Once I get my Darkmoon Faire trinket (dense grinding stones),
I'm dropping it for skinning/herbalism.

How wrong you are, bloodstone ore will make you a small fortune on the
BB auction house my friend.
