So there I was with my bio-less tech blaster.
Had low bids in on the winged and rocket boots but little chance of
getting either.

Then I finally finish the bio (shorter than I wanted as usual.)

A while later I find I've gotten the Fairy Wings recipe and put it up
for sale (copied to test first to try them but they looked ridiculous.)

Ka-Ching!

21 million minus Wentworths fee and a bit of a buying spree gets me all
3 boot types to try for an aggregate total of 6.6 million, leaving
plenty for enhancements later.

The Bio:

No one knows where the gauntlets came from, only that they were found in
the fossil remains of a Tyrannosaurus.

Treated as a hoax until tests could not identify the material they were
made from, they ended up treated as 'evidence' that aliens visited Earth
millions of years ago, and at least one of them got eaten.

This spawned the radical idea that perhaps the meteor strike that caused
the K-T extinction event may have been a deliberate attack made by the
surviving aliens.

Years of testing and handling revealed nothing and they remained a
mystery.

Until Sharra Williams, teenage daughter of the scientist making the most
recent tests, decided that they'd make the perfect addition to her
halloween costume, and put them on.

Then they woke up.

The gauntlets contain an AI of inconceivable power and have somehow
bonded to Sharra and can't be taken from her.

Naturally her father didn't believe her, until she solved 5 "unsolvable"
math problems in 2 minutes.

Quite a feat from a C- student.

Wanted more but no more room.

I like it.

It leaves so many directions to go in and the - i'm guessing robotic
gloves - are some of my favorite pieces.

Ok, going off in a slight but lightly related tangent...

Has anyone found a location that has pics of what the invention
costume parts look like? Xocyll had to copy them to test to check
them out, which is a very good idea, except I've never been able to
get the test server to work. (That's a topic for another thread) So
has anyone found a resource that displays what they look like?

Well, this shows the various pieces, but doesn't necessarily give you a
good idea what they'd look like with a particular costume.

http://paragonwiki.com/Invention_Made_Costumes

I copied to test just to see what they'd look like with Scarlet's
costume - which was always intended to be using the boots not wings.

I'd already planned to sell them, but figured that since I could copy to
test and try them, I would since it cost nothing (well ok I had to buy
the ingredients on Victory since they weren't available on test, but
that was nothing compared to what I got for selling them.)

The winged ones are nice - but like all 3 invention boots they don't go
black - only a dark charcoal color instead which makes it hard to match
colors.
The streaky effect also is dependant on the primary color - using black
you get nothing.

Originally used the large robotic gloves, type tech, along with
large/tech wired boots to match.

Unfortunately there really aren't any gloves that match the invention
boots, especially with the not-black issue.
Real pity the devs didn't make them a boot/glove set.

Currently wearing the rocket boots in charcoal/bronze and the banded
robotic gloves similarly colored and added bronze to the shoulderpads to
tie things together.
