My Wife and I are playing with 2 different characters in the same
town. Now both she and I have donated bugs. My question is when we
fill the museum up will we both get the Golden net since we both have
donated different bugs? Or will the one who has donated the most wind
up with it?
Also does anyone know how the golden axe will work with the both of
us? Will we both have to keep the town perfect for 2 different 2 week
periods?
Thanks in advance >> Stay informed about: About the Golden net, axe etc. |

The awarding of the Golden Net is not based on the museum, it's based
on your personal bug-collecting prowess. When you personally have
collected all the bugs, whether you've donated them the museum or not,
you will get the Golden Net. It's the same with the fish and the
Golden Fishing Rod.
For the Golden Ax, when my wife and I were playing, after two weeks of
a perfect town, she talked to the well and got the ax. I went to the
well, and--no ax! Sadly, I had to keep the town clean for another two
weeks before I got my ax. But I did finally get it! >> Stay informed about: About the Golden net, axe etc. |

Whenever either of you finish your collecting bugs(you've caught each
type), you'll get the golden net. Same concept with the fish as well.
Golden shovel can be snagged from each other depending on who gets their
first(find a gold spot in ground, dig it up, plant second shovel, wait 3
days, shake tree and harvest).

Not sure.
I've got the Golden Axe, rod and shovel. Net: Can't catch enough bugs.

Golden Net awarded when you have captured all the insects.
Golden Rod awarded when you have caught all the fish.
Museum Model awarded to all 'human' characters in your town upon
completion of the museum, regardless of who donated what.
Golden Ax awarded after 2 weeks perfect town status (I believe it is
15 days pefect, though reports of shorter and longer times have
been... well... reported). For another person in your town to receive
a Golden Ax, you need to maintain your perfect status another 2 weeks.
Golden Shovel can be obtained by planting a regular shovel in a
glowing spot. A golden tree will (hopefully) grow and in 3 days you
can shake it for a shovel. You can get as many golden shovels as you
can grow golden shovel trees.
Have fun!

I seriously hate the golden axe. I have been trying for days now to
get a perfect town rating, but I can never get it. Last night I went
through and counted all the trees, made sure none were touching, I had
the "guide" that says how many you should have in each acre. By my
totals I should have had enough, but what does the well tell me?
"with a little more effort. . . . "grrrr. The one thing I am a little
unsure about is how you tell which acre a tree belongs to, I have some
that cross into 2 acres, I assume you can not count them for both
acres. I guess I will try again today.

Have you used this guide:

Click where it says the Perfect Town Guide.
I used it and found it very useful.

It does not matter if trees touch. All you have to worry about is
getting the right amount of trees in each acre. Pulling weeds and
planting flowers. Flowers cancel out any weeds you have, meaning if
you have a weed and plant a flower the point will not be subtracted.
Also I found planting more fruit bearing trees help. Do keep some pine
trees (they only grow in the north) and non-fruit bearing trees (some
bugs are only in non fruit bearing trees. And you will sooner or
later get a perfect town. >> Stay informed about: About the Golden net, axe etc. |
