| About 2 weeks before I bought Orange Box I remember reading a thread
about Ep2 and the "Gnome"...
What's all this about then?
I didn't see such a thing!

Just started playing Ep2 - I noticed 'Send gnome into space' is on the
Achievements list...
On that topic - what do you get for completing achievements ?

OK... I lost Gordon Jnr almost immediately after the screen captures
above when he got trapped the wrong side of a chain-link fence. I
played on in disgust with myself for nearly an hour and now I'm
wondering whether I go back to an early part and get him or just play
the damn game. Twas much easier when you just had to shoot folk >> Stay informed about: Gnome.... |

No bloody gap at the top and despite stacking all sorts of things into a
precarious tower that collapsed more times than was good for my language
I couldn't get back up into the hole I'd fallen through to go back for

I haven't the slightest idea how I'm going to do that... I can't even

Can you carry items through level transitions ?
If I pop something in the back of the car, will it carry over with me
? Or do you have to be carrying it ?

You're going to have to wait for a reply from somebody that can actually
get it as far as a level transition... >> Stay informed about: Gnome.... |

Yes. That's the whole point of the gnome accomplishment.

There's apparently a place in the back of the car that you can drop it
and it will stay there unless you crash or jump. There are also a
couple of places in the game where you can leave it while you go do
some other things and then have it still be there when you come back
(the room where the Vortigaunts are treating Alyx, and the room where
Alyx covers you with the sniper rifle while you go get the car--though
in that case you have to leave it right by the door you will later
open and be quick about snagging it with the gravity gun when you come
back).
There's some threads about it on the Steam HL2E2 forum, you should
check them out.

Too be honest as long as you save all the time I can't say it will be
easy to lose him for good...although it still doesn't make it any
easier to actually do or quicker... >> Stay informed about: Gnome.... |
