Well, all my normal characters are casters (including hunter as "physical"
caster) so I level melee bankers to have some feel in melee classes. Getting
noticable talents is important in that case. But primarily I needed to hit
30 to wear full Tuxedo which suits bankers best IMHO (it was changed some
time ago, chest piece used to have lvl30 requirement; white wedding dress
still has that requirement though Surprised) ).

I try to do this too. In fact, I didn't stop my BE priest until I
finished in the Ghostlands and hit 20. But with these latest few, I just
couldn't get into them and figured there's no point in toiling away if
it's not fun. But I'm going to get back to the pally tonight and see how
it goes.

I understand that. My Mage worked hard to get his mount and I was
initially unimpressed with the performance. Big surprise when it came to
running past mobs, though. It is very helpful in that situation.

I sort of felt this way with a priest I created. It was on an
alternate server though since my main server was down,
so I hadn't spent much time on him. So it sort of feels
like a chore to get back up and running with him
(especially since the next quest is fargodeep mines,
and a squishy character that does poor damage
in cramped rapidly spawning quarters sounds
tedious).

On the other hand, that character was invited into a
guild early on, and it seemed somewhat interesting
(role playing server).

(note to others - put horde and alliance characters
on separate servers; they can't talk to each other
anyway, and it gives a chance to play with some
developed characters when a server is down)

Don't have a mount yet, but this reminds me of the Oblivion
game. You can't attack from it, so I'm always hopping down
to fight things that attack from along the road (and then
heal the horse up again). And picking herbs is a possible,
but annoying because you have to line up the horse just
right. If I didn't have the mod that allowed me to store
loot on the horse I wouldn't bother with it at all once my
speed was high enough...

7 is WAY too early. You reach that in about an hour of play. Most
classes don't even start to get any interesting skills until level 10,
and then the next good batch at 20.

I would suggest playing any toon until AT LEAST level 20 before deciding
if you like him or not. I did end up killing my druid at 24, any my
pally at 43, but have kept all the others going.

I have this problem once every 2-4 months. That's when I look at a certain
class and think "wow, that's cool". Then I create one of them, level them
to 15-20, imaginating what cool things I could do at level 60 (or now, 70).
After a short while I start to compare this "new main" with my real main,
who's got an epic mount, lots of reputation, all zones on his map, and
already is 60 (or whatever) and retire the alt. Happened with warriors,
warlocks, druids and rogues.

I can't stand alts Smile

ha hah, yeah that can get annoying...imagine what it must be like for
locks and pallys if they have to summon their mount each time!

Yeah, I went back to him and played and got more interested. Took him to
20 and finished everything in Azuremyst/Bloodmyst. Now it's back into
the real world of Azeroth. Sad
