Any word on whether next years PC games from EA (NBA Live, Madden, etc) will
have the Xbox 360 "next gen" look? Or would this be too high end on average
for EA to support?

thanks,
Brad

I've done some beta testing from EA and I can tell you that they
haven't discussed anything like that with us. I rather doubt you'll see
anything other than a continuation of the incremental graphics
improvements with each new edition, at least until they overhaul the
game engine. You can do a real good job of optimizing graphics when
each machine has a high end graphics card and each unit is exactly the
same. When you get into the PC world, there are literally hundreds of
thousands of possible machine configurations, many of them a generation
or two behind the times. When you're trying to make a game work on all
of them, you lose something from the video quality.

EA and sports' games just don't cut it with me any longer. A new game (in
cost) with a few, new and pretty much worthless additions, and 50 more
bills.

I'll pass.
