I would think that the Wii further expands on
gamecube games like Ultimate Spiderman
I like to think that all of this emerging technology
develops to a point of excellence.
So, in the case of Ultimate Spiderman, I would say
that attention to detail (say a good lesson
from an Xbox 360), could be some of the
finer points about the Wii. I cant wait to purchase a unit,
however, I would not simply like any boring game from times
past. Maybe the Wii, could revive and polish some
of the older games three steps forward into the future.
Maybe a Hypermode possibility to older games.
Like from what bonus Metroid games in Zero Mission
is from the original. This possibility excites me to buy a Wii.

Probably not going to happen.

The Wii Virtual Console games are not recreated for Wii, they are the
original game code. Nintendo isn't putting any money into recreating
those games, they are just presenting them as is. Playing Mario 64
feels like playing it on the N64, of course with component cables and
an high resolution television, they will look better than the
originals, but that detail was always there.

Gamecube games play as they are as well. In fact the Wii games into
"Gamecube mode" to allow you to play them and then has to be reset in
order to access the Wii menu again. For some reason, the gamecube games
to look clearer on Wii than on Gamecube. I'm comparing output with the
A/V cables that come supplied with both systems.
